Charlie Cairoli (1910-1980) at the Tower Circus in Blackpool, and he has become a household name in the famous Lancashire seaside resort on England’s west coast.
Laci Endresz, Jr. was born Laszlo Endresz in 1975 in Eastbourne (East Sussex), England, into an old circus family: His father, Laci Endresz, Sr. is sixth generation of a Hungarian family of circus performers, and his mother, Maureen, was born Roberts—one of England’s oldest dynasties.
Laci Senior had a trampoline act with which he toured all over Western Europe, before settling in England. In 1992, he took over the management of the Tower Circus, left vacant by Peter Jay when Lord Delfont, the owner of the Blackpool Tower complex, banned the presentation of animal acts at the circus.
Laci Junior was already an accomplished acrobat and a remarkable juggler, and he, his sister Kate, and later, his brother Bubu, participated in the shows his father produced each summer at the Tower Circus. Laci Senior, who had left trampoline acrobatics for clowning, also took his sons with him in his clown acts.
When Laci Endresz, Sr., definitely retired from performing in 1999, Laci Junior continued clowning as Mooky, a part for which he showed considerable talent. He has since become the Tower Circus’s star clownGeneric term for all clowns and augustes. '''Specific:''' In Europe, the elegant, whiteface character who plays the role of the straight man to the Auguste in a clown team., and Mooky is the character around which the Tower Circus's annual summer productions and winter pantomimes are built.
In 1995, Laci Endresz, Jr. won a Silver Medal at Paris’s Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain with his juggling act, Wild On Wheels, which he performed with his sister Kate, and his brother-in-law, András Banláki. He has also been elected twice Best Clown in Great Britain by the British Circus Friends Association.
As Mooky, Laci has appeared on British television in the popular Paul Daniel’s Magic Show on BBC, and on the documentary The Convention Crasher, in which he helped the soccer star Lee Collins learn clowning before crashing a Clowning Convention in Houston, Texas.
