ANATOLY DUROV

In Soviet circus lore, Anatoly and Vladimir Durov are often associated with the Bolshevik revolution. As clowns-satirists who took an anarchistic stance against the autocratic tsarist government, they became popular heroes in the waning decades of the Russian Empire.
