Maïss & Grock, musical reprises, edited from Pierre Billon's movie Au revoir, Monsieur Grock (1950). Maïss is supposed to play the role of Antonet, Grock's mentor and teacher, and although he is wearing his own costumes, his makeup is Antonet's. Grock, however, plays an augusteIn a classic European clown team, the comic, red-nosed character, as opposed to the elegant, whiteface Clown. character that is not what it was at the time of his association with Antonet; he was then copying a silhouette popularized by Little Walter. Each reprise(French) Short piece performed by clowns between acts during prop changes or equipment rigging. (See also: Carpet Clown) is in a different language: German, French, Spanish, and English. The sequences in the ring were filmed at the Cirque Medrano in Paris.
