Jeanette Williams and Gunther Gebel-Williams, liberty"Liberty act", "Horses at liberty": Unmounted horses presented from the center of the ring by an equestrian directing his charges with his voice, body movements, and signals from a ''chambrière'' (French), or long whip. act, with Circus Williams's group of 24 Lipizzan horses trained by Fred Petoletti, in the long-running French TV show La Piste aux Etoiles, filmed at the Cirque d'Hiver in Paris. The Williamses were in engagement at Cirque d'Hiver at that time (1966)
