Born Ingrid Erna Louise Nathhorst in Stockholm on March 26, 1955, and known to her friends and competitors as "Lussan", Louise Nathholst is a famous Swedish dressage champion rider with an impressive prize list that includes a Bronze Medal at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, seven Sweden Champion titles and four Bronze medals at the World and European championships. Following in the footsteps of many a great classic dressage rider, she has appeared in the circus ring in 1995, along with the ballet dancer Unn Tiba, in the classic presentation of The Horse and the Ballerina ("Le Cheval et la Danseuse") as a special guest of the Circus Prinsessan Festival organized by the Bronett brothers in Stockholm.
