Acrobats
The Florence Honey Girls were an all-female acrobatic act headed by Sydney, Australia-born Florence 'Coochie' Honey (1911-1978). Born in a circus family, Florence came to the United States with her family act in 1926. Her father was Alfred Honey, an American gymnast, and her mother, Daisy, was née St. Leon, an old Australian circus family. Coochie created her troupe of female acrobats (generally a quartet, but sometimes a larger troupe) in the United States in the 1950s.
