Acrobat, Juggler

Born in Prague, in what is today the Czech Republic (Czechoslovakia at the time) Maria Wolf (Marie Wolfova) is fifth generation of a large family of Czech performers and circus owners. Cirkus Wolf was an important traveling circus in Czechoslovakia until the advent of the communist regime and the nationalization of the Czechoslovakian circuses in 1951. Maria was raised in England and Germany, where her parents worked with their free-ladder act after their circus had been taken away from their family by the State.

Yet Maria had a sideline hobby: diabolo juggling. She began working at it seriously when she was eighteen, and soon she was good enough to make an act of what was originally just a pastime.

Maria debuted her diabolo juggling act at Circus Charles Knie in Germany in 2006. In 2011, she was contracted by Cirque du Soleil to perform in their production of Viva Elvis at the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. She eventually settled in Las Vegas, and has since performed her juggling act in many shows and special events in the United States.
