The Canadian Duo Symbiose (Noémie Gervais and Alain Boudreau) are graduates from the Ecole Nationale de Cirque in Montréal, Québec. Their remarkable and original act triggered the rise of a series of acrobatic acts on a similar theme: "Boy meets girl — girl rejects boy — boy wins girl..." The Duo Symbiose won a Silver Medal at the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris in 2002.
